Hi, What I did was to download the latest csound~ (http://www.davixology.com/csound~.html from a couple of days ago), put the external, examples and help in their pertinent folders inside the Cycling '74 folder, and lastly, RENAME the csound~intel.mxo to just csound~.mxo I don't have MacCsound installed, nor is necessary... this version of the csound~ external, made by Davis Pyon (thanks Davis!) is not related to the previous csound~ from years ago by Matt Ingalls. Hope this helps, Mario On Jan 25, 2009, at 4:19 AM, Federico Vanni wrote:

MacCsound requires the PPC version of Csound, even if your mac is intel. When you run it, MacCsound + Csound are run under Rosetta. If you install intel Csound on intel Mac, MacCsound will not run. If you install ppc Csound on intel Mac, csound~ will not run. Sorry. As far as I know, that's the way things are right now. Something just occurred to me. You could run Max5 under Rosetta: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1730 and install PPC Csound + MacCsound and have them all work together. Max5 will run slower, and won't be able to use intel only externals. See if that works.
