Hi, Rick,

Thanks; this clears up a lot, and validates much of my research today.

The original Oxygen 8 (I've one as well) is not advertised as 
class-compliant, whereas the other m-audio keyboards are.

I gather that the m-audio (evolution) UC-16, X-Session and UC-33 also will 
work. For one thing, I plug them into Windows XP and they function without 
additional drivers. (The original Oxygen 8 doesn't do this.)
