| Hello, all!
I have Ubuntu Studio 64 (Hardy Heron) running on a dual-core AMD64
machine, and I'm having an odd issue getting Cecilia to run.
The splash screen comes up normally, and the status message at the
bottom says "loading code: helpers.tcl". And then nothing happens, even
for as long as ten minutes. The splash screen just sits there.
When I run Cecilia from the command line, these are the messages that
appear before the lock-up:
darren@ashe:~$ cecilia
Wish Shell: /usr/bin/wish
Cecilia Tcl Launcher: /usr/share/cecilia/cecilia-tcl
Cecilia installation located in /usr/share/cecilia (automatic)
Loading the sources on Linux!
note: creating new prefs
info: /usr/bin/csound found; verifying version
And then it just hangs. This is the Cecilia install from the Ubuntu
Studio 64 repository (I haven't compiled my own, at least not yet), and
I do have Csound working on this machine. Is there anyone out there who
might know what is causing this, or may have run into something like
this before?
My apologies if this is off-topic for this list. Thank you for your help.
Regards,
Darren Landrum
