[Csnd] [OT] building software on OSX

Subject[Csnd] [OT] building software on OSX
I'm experiencing some issues when building applications on OSX.
cc1objplus is constantly pushing the CPU to 80/90% every time I
compile bulid one of my projects. It renders the whole PC useless
until it's finished building. THing is, I don't remember it being this
bad before? Perhaps it's something I accidentally switched on in my
Xcode project?

It does the same on my Mac, but it's not clogging up the computer entirely. I can still cmd-tab and check my e-mail and stuff like that without any problem.

Perhaps you just have to plan your coffee breaks to match your compilations (http://imgs.xkcd.com/comics/compiling.png)?

xkcd have a cartoon for everything! I can't recall it taking up all
the resources before, but these days it really takes forever. The
college recently started using Active Desktop. I wonder if it might
have something to do with that.

Rory.

I suggest planning your compilations to match your coffee breaks. :D
