Hi Csound Folks! It's been a while, but I've got a new piece which uses Pinkston's DX7 emulator with one of my glass DX7 patches in a short sustained 19EDO chorale. https://open.spotify.com/album/1bEO2x7RxzuBMTPGlHYxy6?si=ZmHGnxt0T0qSiqrwMF4Pvw Source (old school style): http://parnasse.com/fragment_for_csound.zip Enjoy, any comments welcome... It's great. Thanks for the link, I'll share on FB. As a matter of interest, how difficult is it to publish on Spotify? Victor Lazzarini Dean of Arts, Celtic Studies, and Philosophy Maynooth University Ireland > On 6 Mar 2019, at 08:53, Jeff Harrington |

Hi Jeff, Thanks for sharing, enjoyed it very much! I experimented a bit with exciter and phaser2 in the instrument definition and had a hard time hearing changes (using sub-par earbuds at the moment; will try again later with monitors). Then again, I haven't used either of those opcodes much, so I might be trying to hear the wrong things too. Running sr=192000 made me wonder about workflow: do you render at this SR in realtime when composing, or do you render to disk then audition? (Or is the orc a kind of final version and other SR's used during composition?) Thanks! steven On Wed, Mar 6, 2019 at 3:52 AM Jeff Harrington <jeff@parnasse.com> wrote: Hi Csound Folks! |

Cool! Thanks! Publishing on Spotify is really easy now thanks to services like Distrokid: https://distrokid.com/ $17.95 ( might be a bit higher now - there' a site with a discount code) a year for unlimited releases of singles and albums. I rendered my new piece and uploaded it and the album cover art yesterday, not 24 hours ago. 100% royalties yours. Jeff On 3/6/2019 10:53 AM, Victor Lazzarini wrote: > It's great. Hey Steven, long time! Thanks for
listening! I'm rendering and listening. I'm not surprised they
add much, if anything, heh...! I've got to get my Csound live
act together. I'd really love to be able to drive it with
Sibelius. This piece was basically just typed, compile, listen,
type, etc.... Hard on the ears.
Jeff

Hi Jeff, I can't comment on the piece because I don't have a Spotify account, but if you want to use Csound in Sibelius use Cabbage to export your instruments as VSTi plugins. On Wed, 6 Mar 2019 at 10:35, Jeff Harrington <jeff@parnasse.com> wrote:

I got lucky and there's one of my Csound pieces in the Electronica Meets Classical playlist. :) Jeff Harrington http://jeffharrington.org Csound mailing list Csound@listserv.heanet.ie https://listserv.heanet.ie/cgi-bin/wa?A0=CSOUND Send bugs reports to https://github.com/csound/csound/issues Discussions of bugs and features can be posted here |
