Victor,

Is there a chance you could compile a new version of libsndfile for Csound 
5.12 that includes the ogg vorbis file type? (You suggested the possibility 
in another thread.)

As noted below, Peter Robinson is in process, coming up with a 5.12 for SoaS 
4.

I'm really interested in porting my FileMix utility to Sugar (especially 
SoaS), but won't do it unless Csound (actually diskin2) works with ogg file 
input. The Record Activity only outputs ogg, and there doesn't look to be 
any change on that front - and that is the main way for children to create 
their own sound tracks in Sugar.

At any rate, I'd surely appreciate your consideration - and am copying Peter 
Robinson to facilitate possible communication.

Hi Art,

Sorry for the late reply...
I think this would have to be done on the Fedora side, since the
Csound package on fedora won't include libsndfile, but will depend on
the fedora libsndfile package.
So you would need to ask the maintainer of the libsndfile package if
it is being built with ogg support.
