Is there a string version of printk2? I couldn't find one. If not I
can just use "changed" and "printks".

I just came accreoss puts: 

puts Sstr, ktrig[, inonl] 

Description
 puts prints a string with an optional newline at the end whenever the trigger signal is positive and changes.
