LIGHT FROM LIGHT (2019) for realtime Csound6 (PC - all major platforms - and Android) Light from Light is basically an instrument, or framework for improvisation. It is inspired by, and extensively based on an instrument (from 2006) by Luis Antunes Pena, on which he realized his Etuede in Granit. My thanks to Luis for his beautiful and inspirational work. More info and 2 demo improvisations are at the head of my composition website, www.arthunkins.com. The first rendition is designated Light from Light: Creation, the second, Light from Light: Love, (Of possible interest to Csounders: the "PC" version of this work includes the exciter opcode which Android Csound lacks, and for which a UDO version is unavailable. For Android, I substituted distort1, which I found to be a modestly workable alternative. Nonetheless I definitely prefer the PC version.) Art Hunkins |
