I was wondering if anybody here has experience with varispeeding sounds in csound. So far, I've been using the loscil* family of opcodes for this. But I'm not too happy with the quality, especially at extremely slow  rates. Playing a sound back at 1%, for example, results in distorted crackles. When I slow down the same sound through Apple's varispeed AU, the quality is vastly improved. Why is this? Does it have to do with different interpolation algorithms?
