| Hi Partev.
Thanks for these!
Robert Carl and Justin Kurtz invited me to Hartt's recording lab
to psych this thing out. I went in yesterday. The tape, some-
how in perfect shape, turned out to be my 1/4" copy of the 1/2"
master from a 1978(!) studio recording of Busoni's 6 sonatinas.
So! Now I have way-better WAV files to replace those, made
from stringy battered cassettes, that I'd first posted to IMSLP.
True, I regreted not hearing also the Stravinsky/Webern/Finney
that I've no other tapes of, but -- well, maybe in the next life....
Thanks again -- Richard too -- for you're help.
Best,
Peter
P.S. The '78 engineer in NY was David Hancock. I felt an
impulse yesterday to phone -- to tell him -- but then
remembered that he died some years ago.
