I would use Csound6 on a regular basis if it was working with the csound~ max external. Also I want to release a new version of FFTools. Any chance of a build?

Hello and Congratulations for this wonderful update ! I'm a french PhD Student in Composition and I frequently use (all the days !) the csound~ object. But it seems that this does not work yet with csound6. I currently compose a piece for instruments and electronics and i would like work with Antescofo as score follower and Csound for synthesis and audio treatments. I think Antescofo and Csound can work very well together… Csound6 looks like great for the real-time so it would be awesome to have a new version of csound~ who works with csound6… Someone should there information about it ? Hi Julia, csound~ has always been released on its own by Davis Pyon. I see however that the source code is available, but the xcode project has a number of custom paths set, so it does not build out of the box. Perhaps it is worth contacting him about it and voicing interest. Personally, I'd love to see this code in the main csound repo with a CMake build added. It'd be nice to have it released with the OSX installer, IMO. steven On Tue, Jul 23, 2013 at 11:55 AM, Julia Blondeau |

and we should not forget victor's excellent csound~ external for PD, which might have been the first working "frontend" for csound6 at all. similar as you have mentioned for the max external, i'd love to see this in a more prominent place in the main csound repo. best - joachim Am 24.07.2013 12:44, schrieb Steven Yi: > Hi Julia, > > csound~ has always been released on its own by Davis Pyon. Actually, I need to add the compilation functionality to it, but I am not sure, maybe more assiduous PD users can help me. Is there a way of editing text in PD? I mean a text edit box? That would be a way to provide orchestras for Csound to compile. Sorry? Is that an object, or you mean to use an external text file? On 8 Aug 2013, at 22:06, joachim heintz |

The [textfile] object loads the contents of a text file. http://www.pd-tutorial.com/english/ch04s02.html (simple tutorial, which includes textfile) On Thu, Aug 8, 2013 at 2:37 PM, Victor <Victor.Lazzarini@nuim.ie> wrote: Sorry? Is that an object, or you mean to use an external text file? |

In Pd, in the class_new method, registering a class with a "menu-open" method will have the "Open" item highlighted in the right-click menu. So then you could figure out which csd was open and open its default editor (which is set by the user in the OS settings somewhere). class_addmethod(c, (t_method)xxx_menu_open, gensym("menu-open"), A_NULL); static void xxx_menu_open(t_pdxxx *o); Martin On 2013-08-08 16:24, Victor Lazzarini wrote: > Actually, I need to add the compilation functionality to it, but I am not sure, maybe more assiduous PD users can help me. > Is there a way of editing text in PD?
