Hello I'm preparing for a project that requires spatialisation of actors' voices in a small installation space. So far I've tested spat3d with an FLjoy interface, and with the help of a smoothing filter sent in by Iain McCurdy, it's working very well. In addition to a quad set-up that will be used in the installation, I'd also like to use a binaural system for demonstrating ideas on a laptop with headphones. hrtfmove2 sounds good for azimuth and elevation movements. I wonder however what people here use to simulate distance cues in binaural settings, both in terms of attenuation of the source signal and in terms of reverberation? My application is that of trying simulate characters speaking in various positions in a small room (perhaps 4 * 5 metres). These characters will sometimes move while talking. The listener will be in a fixed position in the room. Cheers, Iain Send bugs reports to the Sourceforge bug tracker https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=81968&atid=564599 Discussions of bugs and features can be posted here To unsubscribe, send email sympa@lists.bath.ac.uk with body "unsubscribe csound" |

You might want to check out the babo opcode.
