Hi all, I have been using MacCsound on my computer for years and I recently installed something that needed libsndfile. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with my issue, but as soon as I installed this program, macCsound and Csound 5 will no longer open. I get a "macCsound quit unexpectedly" window when I try to open it. I believe it might have over-written something in the Csound lib. so I reinstalled it, but it still has not fixed anything. I also did a reinstall of Csound 5 too. Do you think I could have modified or over-written some object files? This happened to me before and I forget how I did it, but I got the old object files and replaced them and it seemed to fix it. Any thoughts? -Chester. probably an incompatibility with the version of Csoundlib you have installed. i have a new (and final) version ready for release that works with the most recent Csoundlib and just waiting for me to finish updating supporting materials, i can email it to you if you want. -matt On Sep 9, 2010, at 1:09 PM, Chester Udell wrote: > Hi all, > > I have been using MacCsound on my computer for years and I recently installed something that needed libsndfile. I think your libsndfile is probably not a Universal Binary. Just try reinstalling Csound and it will place a UB of libsndfile in your computer.
