Hi there! Does someone know about a search feature in Csound in order to use the Csound manual in an easier and faster way? If there is not, it would be cool to have one!! best! Miguel.C |

Use the single-page html manual in a browser that you know the keyboard shortcuts for. Greg On Thu, Sep 30, 2010 at 5:45 AM, Miguel Coca |

You can also use google to search the manual using something like this: site:http://www.csounds.com/manual/html cpspch google doesn't seem to index the manual very well, but it may help. On Wed, Sep 29, 2010 at 8:07 PM, Greg Schroeder |

I've thought about this, too...making a searchable index. The problem, especially for new users, is the same as with any technical resource: If you don't already know what you're looking for, how can you find it in the index? You'd have to have something like: BLIP, sounds that go...page 23 --David M > You can also use google to search the manual using something like this: > > site:http://www.csounds.com/manual/html cpspch > > google doesn't seem to index the manual very well, but it may help. > > On Wed, Sep 29, 2010 at 8:07 PM, Greg Schroeder |

Nice page!
Just a semi-thought. Is there a reference in your flossmanual to the two
mailing lists, and the various FE mailing lists (blue, qutesound,...)?
Did not see them, and I realy would encourage people to ask the list if
they cannot get the stuff they need. Tht way techies like me get to hear
the concerns, and I learn a lot about areas of Csound that I do not use.
Just dreaming here before cycling off to prepare next week's lectures
(Music/DSP Monday 14:15, C programming, and Advanced compilation Tuesday
afternoon,....)

Thanks - I'm glad you like it!
I have added a section about the lists and the bug trackers in
http://en.flossmanuals.net/bin/view/Csound/Links
Actually, the floss manual is a Wiki. Everyone CAN add anything, and
this is VERY WELCOME. You just have to register here:
http://en.flossmanuals.net/bin/view/Main/UserRegistration?origurl=/bin/view/Main/WebHome
Everyone who registered has write access: can change, add, correct ...
If many Csounders do it, we have a collective and easy-to-maintain
platform for the interchange of knowledge, information, experiences ...
Just go in.
