Subject[Csnd] A question about (audio) levels

Hi everyone,

I have a Csound file where I created 5 oscillators into one output; each oscillator has it's own volume slider.

Obviously, if I use only one oscillator, the maximum amplitude is lower than if I use all 5 together.  Is there a way to keep the audio output at the same level, regardless of how many oscillators I am using?

(I'm using Csound 6.08)

Thanks!

Brian

As far as I am aware there is no guaranteed way but I was td to do divide the amplitude by sqrt(n) for n oscillators

Sometimes works.
