Subject[Csnd] Questionnaire Results
Hi All,

I have published the Csound questionnaire results here:

Csound Platform Questionnaire
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=thOIuVAwieK4eKoKikmqGwA&output=html

Csound Usage Questionnaire
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=tDC1zduouO7pF195RdMYkmA&output=html

The links above show the full results. Google Docs has a feature to
summarize results but as far as I can tell no way to publish the
summary page (if anyone knows a way please please let me know. I've
copied and pasted the summary pages below. The summaries show number
of votes, then percentage of votes (percentages won't add up to 100%
for those that allowed multiple choice).

It looks to me that Windows is the most used platform, followed by
Linux and OSX roughly equally (most of the "Other" results were some
variant of linux). Installers and package managers were undoubtably
the most common method of installation. Of the respondents, a vast
majority had experience with csound > 2 years, and a majority > 5
years. Interest in/usage of the API also seems fairly high.

Thanks!
steven

Interesting, thanks Steven.
(From memory) I noticed that choice of platform was restricted to one.
I selected one and then put a different one in the "other" box.
I wonder how many use it on more that one platform and thus the extent
to whih having to choose one skewed the results.

Subject[Csnd] Re: Re: Questionnaire Results
Hi David,

The options on the form allowed multiple selection for platform so the
results should not be a problem unless you had multiple other
platforms I guess. Shouldn't skew results too much I think.

Thanks!
