[Csnd] Graphical Objects and MIDI in OSX

Subject[Csnd] Graphical Objects and MIDI in OSX
Hi all,

I run projects that use FLTK and MIDI in Maccsound
and I have cracks in audio at each change with continuos MIDIin (sliders,...).
I tried different buffers in vain.
These things don't happen with MacCsound graphical objects and MIDI.

Does anybody know what I can do to use FLTK and MIDI in OSX?

Is it possible to edit the graphical objects (MacCsound or Qutecsound) in a text document?

thanks a lot,
Olavo

Hi,

You can edit the graphical objects as text in a plain text editor, as
they are simply text that is hidden when you use QuteCsound or
MacCsound.
The only problem with this is that you would have to find out what
each number means, for example a slider looks like this:
ioSlider {18, 273} {20, 100} 0.000000 1.000000 0.560000 slider4

This is not documented anywhere that I know of (except possibly the
QuteCsound sources...)

Cheers,
Andrés

If you are only using FLTK and MIDI, I suggest running it in Qutecsound but choosing 'run in terminal'.
If your cracks happen whenever you move sliders, try adding a little LP filtering using port:

ksig  port  kslider, 0.01

thank you Victor and Andres,
when I run in terminal with the version Qutecsound 0.46 I have
"csound tidy up: Buss error"
I will try with Qutecsound 0.5.
I use [lineto], has it got the same function as [port] in this case?

cheers,
Olavo
