Hi Roger,

We're very close now.  It is working for realtime audio input/output,
using OpenSL and AudioTrack, and there's some investigation work going
on with OpenMax now.  We're doing some testing across devices and
fixing up things we're finding with differences to make sure that at
release time, it'll hopefully work and come with a nice set of
examples.  It's taking a while as we were writing examples and making
sure they worked on iOS as well, and trying to normalize the API's so
that examples that work for one worked on the other, and that the
API's match closely so that porting will be quick work.  We're going
to look at using Android Library Projects within Eclipse probably soon
too.  Ideally, at release time, you'll have everything really to get
started and going with a number of focused examples to use as models
for other work. The last time we planned a release date was for
mid-March, so a couple of weeks now.

Victor and I have a presentation accepted at the Linux Audio
Conference in April, and that should be streamed online as well as
recorded.
