The installer in current CVS should not have this problem with Python, and if it still does, I will fix it.

Here are some reasons for Python:

-- Many more people know how to write Python than Lisp.
-- There is no Lisp family of opcodes, but there is a Python family of opcodes.
-- There is no Lisp interface to CsoundAC, but there is a Python interface to CsoundAC.
-- There is one and only one version of Python with extensive libraries that almost always work, there are many semi-compatible versions of Lisp with semi-extensive libraries that often work.
-- Python is consistent with the trend in Csound to support multiple languages, interfaces, and uses.

Regards,
Mike
