There already is a port of Csound onto an Analog Devices board, by Barry Vercoe, the original author of Csound. This is a commercial product.

This feature looks nice: "By removing the socketed EPROM, replacing it
with an EPROM containing user code, the board can run as a stand-alone
unit, without the PC."

Is this the case with the CSound/Analog Devices board? And does anyone
have any experience with this? Wouldn't it be nice to be able to rip out
the guts of a Roland Sound Canvas and fit a CSound DSP into it? ;-)
