Subject[Csnd] Good times at the Linux Audio Conference!
Hi All!

I just got back home and wanted to say I had a wonderful time at the
LAC this year! It was great to see a large number of Csounders at the
conference, seeing some familiar faces as well as getting to meet a
number of you for the first time in person. It was great to see what
the Linux Audio community was up to and to check out the concerts.
Overall a really lovely time in Maynooth (Thanks Victor for hosting!)!

Looking very much forward to the Csound Conference in Hannover!
steven

Dear all,

I also just got home as our ferry was cancelled due to bad weather
(which meant a 4 hour wait at the ferry port for the first train to
London).

I has a great time and it was very nice to finally meet so many
members of the Csound user community and developers. A real pleasure.
And like Steven I would like to thanks Victor for hosting us.

It is also great to see the real sense of community amongst the Linux
users, making me want to set up a Linux machine. (The apple on the
back of my mac book pro is already covered with the "Linux audio"
sticker!)

Looking forward to the Csound conference already.

Best,

Peiman

Ditto. The reason I finally switched to linux wasn't because of the
software, it was because of the people I met at the LAC. This year are
particularly great as I got to meet Mike, Joachim and yourself for the
first time. Victor touched on this already but it seems to me that
Csound is starting, albeit slowly, to push its way back towards the
top of the audio food chain again. It reminds me of a football team.
After years at the top we get pushed down the league table by bigger
clubs with bigger bank accounts. Slowly but surely we're starting to
assemble a good squad of players with a clear focus on the future.
With our Brazilian centre forward in the form of his life I think we
could push for silverware next season!

Rory.

Well, I'd just like to chime in with the much deserved chorus of
thanks to Victor, and also to everyone else who it was such a
pleasure to meet and speak with. It really was a very enjoyable
three days, and I hope I will have the opportunity to see
everyone again either in Hannover or at a future LAC.
