Whilst I don't currently run a windows machine at all at themoment, the thought of a Csound type Evernote is very intriguing!

Anymore info online about this setup?must make tracking projects and keeping all relevant files together very easy indeed.

I use Evernote a lot for project management in general so any info would be greatly appreciated.

Windows is my main platform for running Csound. I also run on Linux sometimes.

On Wiindows, in order of decreasing usage:

CsoundQt. It crashes for me sometimes, but I need those widgets.

SciTE, a text editor with customizable commands, it will automatically run csd files using Csound, or Lua files using LuaJIT. But no widgets.

The Windows command line. If things are crashing I run on the command line to see more information.

WinXSound, sometimes.

blue, occasionally.

Cabbage, occasionally.

None of these environments actually meets all of my needs!

Hope this helps,
Mike

Hello,

I will use csound to teach a new course and would like to gather some of your experience running csound on windows. I would like to ask how do you currently run csound on windows. Do you use CsoundQt, WinSound? Do you run csound from a terminal? Blue, Cabbage? What would you advise?

Thank you for your help.

Best,

i'm still trying to understand what it is. but the web site is very
enlightening:

"There’s no limit to what you can capture and save into Evernote including
text, email, checkboxes, PDFs, audio, web clips, and PDFs."

they forgot to mention audio, email, PDFs and text and web clips and PDFs.

it's also great to know that "Evernote is available on any computer or
device you use" [sic]. confirming this, the download menu shows:

For Mobile Devices
    iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch
    Android
    Windows Phone
    Blackberry
    WebOS (via App Catalog)

For Computers
    Mac OS X
    Windows Desktop
    Windows 8 (Touch)

yeah, great.

i see. as i said, i'm still trying to figure out what it is exactly and
how it works. the first thing i found on the "Introduction to Evernote"
page was the bold assertion i quoted before, and right below it a download
button pointing to apple and microsoft OSes (and android). navigating the
site a little more i found the download button everywhere. one of them
took me to a page saying "Evernote is currently not available for Linux".
so i guess my confusion is somewhat justified. anyway, i'm not sure
evernote would be the right tool for me. i'm too unorganized to use an
organizer...

I'm a big fan of Evernote. When I first created an account I didn't
see what the fuss was about, but over time it's become a pretty
critical part of my work/research workflow. I also use Microsoft's
OneNote (which also has a web version), but only for handwritten notes
I create on my Windows tablet. Anyways, a bit off topic now. :)
