i think there are mainly some updates needed in the download/install 
section at the beginning.

can anyone send me some words about it? it would be great if we had this 
chapter up-to-date for new users.

I think that the installers will be distributed with Csound's file
releases.  Also, there is an installer that just needs to be run,
rather than manual work.  At least, for OSX; it is planned to be the
case for Windows too.  The csound~ installer is also included with the
main Csound installer on OSX.

Otherwise, I think the rest applies, as the csound~ name for the max
external has not changed with CS6.
