Subject[Csnd] OT New piece : Gen y
Hi Csounders !

I post here a project (not yet finished) I am working on and which uses Csound as a part of it.

Again sorry for the english…

This piece have been produced from 0101 sounds isolated from recordings of machine (modem, computer, video games, VHS…), movies (Total recall, fight club…), mangas (Ken, Nicky Larson…). Each sound has been worked, sometimes until being unrecognizable and reorganized to become potentially a structural element of the piece.
"Gen Y" is a live electronic improvised piece, which means that it is meant to mix instruments and tape acousmatic music and that its elements are not written in a definitive way.

Gen y consist of various sound layer :
a tape band (previously composed)
an electric guitar (improvised)
a record desk (improvised from a preselected material)
an autonomous computer (autonomous thanks to Csound. The sounds are triggered randomly

Everything pass through a mixing desk to reset in real time the volume of each musical source.

The piece is available from that link :

All comments are welcome !
