[Csnd] CsoundQt Hanging

I just ran into a problem. Don't know if it has been reported. On MacOS
10.8.5, using CsoundQt 0.8.2, I created a new file, wrote a few lines of
code, hit Cmd-S, and got the spinning beach ball. After a Force Quit, I got
the same results three more times in a row, the final time when carefully
selecting Save As from the File menu rather than use a key command and when
trying to save an edited version of an existing file, not a new file.
But now it's working again. I get the file dialog box in the normal way. I
don't know what I did differently that caused it to get happy.

I have had the same problem for a couple of days. If I create a new file and
try to save it, I get the ball of death. If I take an old file and use "save
as" it´s ok. I think it started after an Mac operating system upgrade with
x-windows and some other files, but I am not sure if it is related.

I can't reproduce this... But did you figure out what triggered or fixed it? I suspect that if it was triggered by an OS update it might have to do with the preferences loading for an older system (there is a binary data load to configure the UI when loading the preferences). Does cleaning the preferences (in the help menu) solve the issue?Cheers, Andrés On Thu, Mar 20, 2014 at 11:50 PM, orebronerd <martino.flodino@gmail.com> wrote: I have had the same problem for a couple of days. Iain McCurdy is having issues with a Cabbage binary on 10.6.8 that suddenly stopped working for him too. Can't figure out out. Very strange.

It's still happening this morning. To fix it, I open an existing .csd and use
Save As... on that file. After that, starting a new file and using Save
works as expected, opening a file dialog.
I haven't updated my OS for quite a while, so I'm not sure that's the
explanation.
