Subject[Csnd] csound on osx 10.6.8
hi all,
my macbook pro died and I had to replace the HDD. I installed Snow
Leopard from the orginal CD and had really bad troubles, it seems that
Firewire is dead. The boot took some 8mins, before timeout. I removed
the Firewire kexts, and now the thing boots in less than a minute. But
this means, I can't install Mountain Lion or Maverick, because those
don't timeout, and booting to single user mode, it looks like all the
stuff is on ramdisks.

So, is it still possible to build csound for 10.6.8? I think that
Homebrew doesn't work with SL.

tnx

-m

Csound6.01.0 will run fine on 10.6.8 from the installer but I remember
having problems with the next release. If you build yourself I don't
see why you would have any problems.

There shouldn't be any problems building on 10.6. I think Victor may
have committed some fixes to build on 10.6, so you might want to use
the develop branch if you're using the git sources. (After cloning,
use "git checkout develop")
