I reformatted my Windows 8 tower like 2 or 3 days ago. I need Java to run blue. NetBeans comes with the JDK. It won't download on BitComet or even GetRight. -- View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/trying-to-download-the-Java-jdk-with-NetBeans-tp5733042.html Sent from the Csound - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

Yes I tried Oracle and I downloaded Java itself but I'd rather "install" the jdk BUNDLED with NetBeans. the website told me that I didn't agree with something... but I did. -- View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/trying-to-download-the-Java-jdk-with-NetBeans-tp5733042p5733047.html Sent from the Csound - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

In general, if there is freely available software for download, get it from the producer like Oracleor OpenOffice instead of other Web sites that also provide downloads. Those other sites might include adware or even malware along with what you want. There's a big button for downloading here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index-jsp-138363.html You have to select the radio button that says "Accept License Agreement" then choose a download (if using Blue, use the Windows x86 and not the x64 download). Ok Dave downloaded the jdk for me using the web browser... how did he do that? my downloads automatically go to BitComet. Anyway blue is not responding. I had this problem once before. I reformatted the hard drive a while ago. Installed Python first, then Csound 5 and 6, then blue, and finally Java, the jdk. -- View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/trying-to-download-the-Java-jdk-with-NetBeans-tp5733042p5733079.html Sent from the Csound - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
