I'm sure I asked this question before but I can't seem to find the
thread in the archives. A student of mine can't get qutecsound to
start. It keeps saying it can' find teh default csd file. He has tried
reinstalling it but not joy. He did have a version of qutecsound
before but after updating he's having problems. How can I he delete
the user preferences? Through the registry?

Hi,

If he's on windows, they should be on the registry, but I couldn't
tell you for sure, as this is taken care by Qt...

Also, I seem to remember I fixed this crashing bug. Is he using the
latest version?

Yeah, he just downloaded it today. Looks like the uninstall isn't
removing registry variables. I'll tell him to remove the offended
registry details.
