RE: [Csnd] Experimental Algorithmic Piece

I am unable to find the referenced article. Is Csound Magazine different from Csound Journal, and if so, is it available online? And if not, how does one obtain this article?

I was going to post this on csounds.com, but there appears to be a problem with the website at the moment.

I posted a new algorithmic piece at http://soundcloud.com/brian-wong/unicycloid . It uses a synth based on the cycloid synth presented in Csound Magazine "Parametric Equations" article by Hans Mikelson. The song is composed using one-dimensional cellular automata for each synth pfield , except p1 of course. It is a very experimental composition, what I would describe as minimalist microtonal serialism. Hopefully some of you might find it interesting.

Comments and questions welcome.

Hello Lewis,

The Csound Magazine is different than The Csound Journal.

It came first.

and...

It was fantastic.

A good portion of the writing (and all the editing and design) was by Hans Mikelson.  It was his Csound Journal.

The back issues can be found on cSounds.com at the following link:  http://www.csounds.com/node/110

You and everyone should be checking them out still - there is great material covered there too.

The new Csound Journal - is the amazing new offering by Steven Yi and James Hearon - they have taken
the format further and the content even deeper.

Both online publications are an incredibly important resource for Csounders everywhere.

And to add, all articles from the Magazine and Journal are listed on
the Journal's Article Index:
