There was some discussion on this list earlier about problems with the
Ubuntu packages, and how best to get those packages attended to.

I just wanted to mention another bug with the Ubuntu packaging, which
I filed some time ago on their bug tracking system:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/csound/+bug/502236

This is an error with the libcsnd-java packages, the java API (which I
particularly wanted to use with blue).  If this package is installed,
csound and csound5gui no longer work, failing with an undefined symbol
error.

I'm hoping to stick with packages as much as possible, but it seems
like no one is working on fixing these.

Please try to reproduce the problem in the debian packages (where the
ubuntu ones are taken from), and if they are reproducable, report them
to the debian bug tracker. I will then look at them (as time permits,
of course).
