Hello-- Recently installed 5.19 using the Windows installer and included CsoundQt option in the install (Running on an old WindowsXP computer that may not handle 6.n). The csds works fine, CsoundQt is working. However, when I go to Adobe Audition 1.5 to play the sound, CsoundQt closes. I've tried all ways to toggle between the programs, including setting the Ext. player and Ext. editor buttons to open Audition from with CsoundQt (I use Audition for both editing and playing). Any ideas how I can get CsoundQt to keep running? |

Try a different audio driver. Probably either CsoundQt or Audition are fighting for sole use of the audio interface. Hope this helps, Mike On Mon, May 13, 2013 at 9:25 AM, David Mooney <dmooney023@gmail.com> wrote:

This sounds related to the FLTK issues. You might need to remove all csound plugins that require FLTK: libwidgets.dll, libfluidSynth.dll, libvirtual.dll. And maybe one more? I can't recall... Cheers, Andrés On Mon, May 13, 2013 at 6:25 AM, David Mooney <dmooney023@gmail.com> wrote:

You can try running CsoundQt in "depends.exe" (google for it). Running in depends means "profiling." It should give you some sort of idea what's happening when it crashes. Use the 32 bit version of depends. Hope this helps, Mike On Mon, May 13, 2013 at 1:01 PM, Andres Cabrera <mantaraya36@gmail.com> wrote:

Mike--It was the driver, as you first suspected--Thanks! Selected a different output device in QT configure and it stopped crashing. Ran a few csds and they all rendered and the files played without a hitch. The prices of geezerhood!--old equipment and overlooking the obvious. On Mon, May 13, 2013 at 1:25 PM, Michael Gogins <michael.gogins@gmail.com> wrote:
