First, sorry for the off topic question. I don't know of any communities out there. I'm wanting to get my first hardware synthesizer but I have no idea what to get or what to look for. Any recommendations? I want to make trance or house music but I'm not limiting myself to those two genres. I do not have a budget so feel free to name anything. I want a synth that is flexible as far as the variety of sounds I can create and I will be playing live with this. The one I want is the Minimoog Voyager XL. Also I don't have the luxury of play testing synthesizers where I live. -- View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/OT-Recommendations-for-my-first-hardware-synth-tp5723470.html Sent from the Csound - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |

Are you a solid two-handed keyboard player? If so, you need an instrument that has at least a five-octave keyboard, preferably semi-weighted keys, and a reasonable amount of polyphony. Are you planning to play in a group, or as a solo performer? If the latter, you need a multitimbral instrument with a built-in sequencer and probably a suite of good drum sounds -- in other words, a workstation such as the Korg Triton or Yamaha Motif. -- View this message in context: http://csound.1045644.n5.nabble.com/OT-Recommendations-for-my-first-hardware-synth-tp5723470p5723597.html Sent from the Csound - General mailing list archive at Nabble.com. |
