Dear Csounders,

I am happy to announce that The Berklee College of Music will be hosting

The 2nd International Csound Conference from October 25-27, 2013

and that our Keynote Speakers will be:

John Chowning and Jean-Claude Risset

Hopefully you can join us here in Boston this fall.

Our conference website is coming together and, even now, you will find some interesting information, and some of our initial thoughts and plans. I recommend that you check it out now… and often:

http://csound.org/

Most importantly, we are interested in "your" ideas and suggestions, your research, your music, your Csounds. You will find ways to be in touch at the website.

Registration will open in the next  couple of weeks, but for now - save those dates!

Looking forward to making Csounds with you all here @ Berklee this October.

There is a typo; "learn toi better use" should be "learn to better use".

Looking very forward to this! The first Csound conference was an amazing and special event. A lot of what developed in Csound since,  including Csound for iOS/Android and most of Csound 6, were a result from all of the panel discussions and late night conversations at the conference. I imagine at this 2nd conference we will all have a lot to share and discuss, and that it will be a thought provoking and inspiring event.

Thanks Dr. B for organizing this!

Fixed the typo.

"How can we more effectively teach Csound and how can musicians learn to better use and appreciate Csound?"

Tanks for pointing it out, Mark.

I especially like that you retained the United Statesian split infinitive. Silly English restrictions are conventions up with which I will not put.

Subject[Csnd] OT: Michael Rhoades Presents - The Sights and Sounds of Numbers
Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Next Thursday evening, July the 18th, from 6pm to 9pm, I will present an
outdoor surround sound Installation/Exhibit of my computer generated
music (all using Csound) and images. It will take place in the plaza in
front of the Arts United Center located at 303 E. Main Street in Fort
Wayne.

The music will consist of 19 select works from the past 15 years and the
images are recent computer generated images that have been printed on a
high-definition large format printer.

The sound system is a fantastic JBL 4.8 setup. You read it correctly,
there will be 8 subs! We will be creating some heavy duty vibrations in
"the fort" that night. It should be an interesting experience in sound
as well as sight.

This is an official Three Rivers Festival event and there will be other
events going on in the vicinity that evening as well. So if you are in
the area please stop by for a look and listen.

Happy July of 2013!!

Michael
