Subject[Csnd] strange messages about jack in csound 6.12 on OS X
I got these weird messages at start up, I think it is since installing
version 6.12:

audio buffered in 64 sample-frame blocks
Cannot connect to server socket err = No such file or directory
Cannot connect to server request channel
jack server is not running or cannot be started
JackShmReadWritePtr::~JackShmReadWritePtr - Init not done for -1,
skipping unlock
JackShmReadWritePtr::~JackShmReadWritePtr - Init not done for -1,
skipping unlock
PortAudio V19-devel (built Feb 12 2010 09:42:54)
    0: dac0 (Built-in Output [Core Audio])
    1: dac1 (Scarlett 2i2 USB [Core Audio])
PortAudio: selected output device 'Scarlett 2i2 USB'
writing 128 sample blks of 64-bit floats to dac1

It looks like portaudio is trying to access jack, I am not sure why it would do that.
Never seen it happen this way. Something similar may happen if running -+rtaudio=jack
but it does not look like it's the case here.

try -odac to see if it does the same (no number, use default audio card).

Do you have jack installed? What happens if you have it running?

No I do not have it. It is not standard on OS X, it is more a Linux/Unix
thing.
I could try to install it though.

What if you stop jack? Does it reappear?

I think the portaudio shipped with Csound might be linking to Jack. I have it here, possibly it was picked up last time I updated portaudio before packaging.

If it's a pain I can see if I can repackage it.
