Hello!
After some years out of this list and my (involuntary) disconnection of the Csound world, I'm glad of being back again. In these years of absence there was a lot of exciting developments! The most interesting for me is the creation of CsoundAC, since I was always interested in algorithmic compositio. The oldest in the place perhaps remember my first (and only!) csound piece "Bay", composed using the now impossible to find ngen tool.
I'm learning how to use CsoundAC (the tutorial is excellent) in Windows, but I want to do the same in OSX, and i was unable to. Apparently, there is a bug in the installer of csound for OSX. I inspected the package (.pkg file) and there is no trace of CsoundAC.py nor CsoundAC.so files. However the installer creates symbolic links for these files in the python library folder, but the files to which the links point do not exist, so trying to import CsoundAC in a python script fails. I can import csnd, though.
I googled and didn't find any report about using (or being unable to use) CsoundAV in OSX, which puzzled me. Are not there users of CsoundAC in OSX? Perhaps the problem was introduced only in recent versions?
PD: Another exciting development is Csound for iOS. Any news about the status of the CsoundTouch App? Saludos, --JL Diaz
