[Csnd] Csound/QiuteCsound problem

Subject[Csnd] Csound/QiuteCsound problem
Hi all,

Someone who is new to Csound is trying to use my Sruti/Drone Box app but
is having a fairly fundamental problem. He has Csound 5.12.1 on Windows
7 (same as me). Wen he tries to run my CSD (or another very simple CSD
that I sent him that uses -odac to play an oscillator tone for 5
seconds), he gets the following messages:

*** PortAudio: error: No input devices are available
Failed to initialise real time audio output.

Note that neither CSD he's tried calls for any audio input.

What can I tell him?

- Dave

Yes, as Victor says, audio input is enabled by default in QuteCsound,
and it seems that he doesn't have any audio inputs available, hence
the error. The best solution for him would be just to remove the -iadc
text from the audio input device (which can be done with the button
net to it and selecting "none".

Cheers,
Andres

Thanks, Victor and Andres. I should have thought of that. Passing the
information on to him.
