Subject[Csnd] re frontends
Hi Jim,
Csound5gui is no longer part of the standard distribution.
However, I wish it was. It was somewhere between the command
line and Qutecsound in appearance and functionality. That is,
it basically gave Windows users 'commandline' capabilities in a
more windows-like way. It also allowed realtime or deferred
time rendering of files, which was nice. I seem to recall that
a 'csound5gui.dll' could be copied and pasted from the bin
folder of Csound 5.09 (5.10?), per a post in an email a year or
so ago. I've not tried to do it yet, in hope that it would be
added back as an option in the standard installer (hint hint, to
those who could do so!) Hope this helps.

Hi Bob,

QuteCsound allows both realtime and rendering. Realtime is called
"Play", and deferred time is called "Render". What do you mean by
"commandline" capabilities?

You can copy csound5gui.exe from a previous distribution (probably
5.09 onwards), and that should be enough.

Cheers,
Andres
