as to the printed version: i think menno is willing to provide one, and 
it should be much easier to go because of the new file base, and working 
with pandoc.  but it will certainly take some more weeks (perhaps 
months) that we are ready to go.

I want the Csound floss manual and I would like to buy it but I can't find it
on amazon.
Is it up to date? does it match up to the pdf?
does it talk about cabbage?
does it teach you how to compile Csound from source?
does it teach you how to make your own opcodes?
does it talk about Python?

how up to date is it and how can I order it?

yes i agree.  since we started this project (in 2011 i think it was) the 
flossmanuals.net platform changed two or three times.  this is the 
reason for the different URLs.

we will do this in future:
1. we will host our own version (perhaps as part of the csound 
organization on guthub).  this version is written in pandoc markdown, 
has version control, can export all different formats (epub, pdf, ...) 
and also the examples can be played in a web browser without installing 
csound.
2. we will update our version on flossmanuals.net from time to time, 
based on this.

hlöðver did all the import and wrote a nice environment for editing.  i 
am reading now through the whole book, editing everything and rewriting 
some parts (together with other authors).  i think we are in the middle 
of the book now, so perhaps around christmas we should have a first NEW 
version ...
