[Csnd] jack question...

Subject[Csnd] jack question...
I recently installed Jack for windows but now every time I run Csound
it tries to use jack even if I set asio or the likes in my CsOptions?
-odac2 would usually just output audio to my main soundcard using
asio, not Csound stops and says that I need to start the jack client?
Any ideas? Sorry, I've no experience with jack..

maybe you need to specify your rt driver - does -+rtaudio=asio work on
the command line?

Nope, but that's a good idea. Only thing is how to select it. When i
tried your suggestion it says 'unknown rtaudio option: asio'?

I just found this in the manual:

"You can see a list of available devices by giving a device number
which is out of range, for instance -o dac99. This will also reveal if
you have ASIO available if you are using PortAudio."

it lists the rtaudio types as ALSA PortAudio CoreAudio and JACK, but I
know I always use the jack argument in all lower case

Hi,

I think recent versions of jack actually launch jack when is not available if it's needed ,so maybe the rtaudio module you are using calls jack.

Cheers,
Andres

Now I can get it to run, but It still takes a long btime while Csound
searches for jack before it starts to play a sound? Much longer than
usual. Here is the output, it slow down just after the InitTime
