I had a working csound installation on my Win 7 computer. However, things 
went wrong. First I uninstalled Csound and then installed CsoundVST. I 
never could get CsoundVST to work the way I wanted (as a VST effect) so I 
eventually gave up. I looked at "Programs and Features" to see if I could 
uninstall CsoundVST but it wasn't listed. So then I just downloaded csound 
5.17 (the win32 installer) and now I'm having problems. I get this message

   libiconv-2.dll is missing

What has gone wrong?

Libiconv-2.dll is not in the installer for Csound. Copy libiconv2.dll
from system32 into c:\csound\bin (or wherever you have Csound
installed) and rename it "libiconv-2.dll," or copy MinGW's
libiconv-2.dll from c:\mingw\bin.

Could someone put it on csounds.com for download, so I don't have to 
download and install the entire MinGW app (or, can I download just the 
libiconv-2.dll without intstalling MinGW?)? Why isn't it with the csound 
installer?

Another option would be -- what is the latest version of csound with a 
windows installer that actually works?

That is part of the internationalisatin system of GNU I think.  Do not
have a Windoes machine on at present, but I will look for a copy that can
be d/loaded

FWIW, Csound will not look for libiconv-2.dll if fluidOpcodes.dll is
removed from Csound's plugin directory.
