| I think it would be nice if all Csound distributions have the same default
options with nothing else added in a "hidden" file like .csoundrc. This has
come up before, and overriding Csound's internal defaults is confusing since
it seems to contradict the manual. A new user should not have to understand
an optional feature like the .csoundrc file in order to get things to work
as described in the manual.
If we want -d to be the default, it should apply to all distributions, be
"hard-wired" in the code, and documented in the manual.
