What about licensing, etc?  It might be prudent to be explicit in this regard when said pieces are made available for download.  I would at least like the option of specifying a Creative Commons license for our works.

If we can, I think we plan to support both...

Imagine something like this:

The cSounds.com Csound Composition Archive/Library:

All pieces placed in an alphabetical list by the composer's last name

- maybe the letters are tabs that expand.

associated with each work would be fields where one can add information like:

composer name
contact info
title of composition
date of composition
duration of composition
program note
.csd
.mp3, ogg

Users could login and upload/update their info and add to the archive

The cSounds.com Csound Concert Hall

There might be a special option the future currator  to
go to the archive and select (check box) and number (number box)
some 6 - 10 pieces at a time - and these go into the Concert Hall Page - which is streamed.

These concert pages would be archived as well - so that, if the curator get busy or
if someone comes along having missed some months or years, they can go back and listen
to previous concerts too.

In the Concert Hall Page there would be a few Fields where the curator could:

Title of Concert
Overview of Concert ("These are all remixes" "These are all granular pieces")
Curator Name
Dates of Concert Run
A Link to the Archive of past Concert Pages
A Button to Add this Concert to the Archive of past concert Pages

Sounds great!

Is this in addition to the current pod cast and music forum on csounds.com or is it meant to replace them?

Hello Jim, Michael and all Csounders,

The webmaster at cSounds.com - Cesare Marilungo - and I have been
planning to add
*The Csound Concert Hall* section to cSounds.com since we started
with his new,
wonderful, and  very community-oriented design of cSounds.com.

I have already given Cesare hundreds of Csound-based .mp3
compositions, songs, remixes to host there.
Plus, I have all the .csd files for these as well! (We might host
them as well - still considering.)

Most of all we want to host ALL of your music too and make it
possible for you to add your music
to the archive.  (I purchased a ton more space from my webhost for
this purpose.)

So, Cesare is in the process of building in the functionality and
openness right now.

My thinking was to curate and stream monthly concerts showcasing
different aesthetics and
techniques, but to have the entire collection there in the database
for you to select from and
upload to your mp3 players and computers as well.

The Csound Concert Hall is coming soon...  Until then, please post
your Csound Compositions,
Instruments, Ideas, .csds, etc.... in our new Community Forums -
under the appropriate sections:

This is one of the reason why I would prefer if people could submit
their works by themselves (see my message about the podcast). You can
specify the license yourself in the description, and by uploading the
track you're responsible for making it available.

Best,
