I believe this crashing is a bug that I have fixed in CVS and that will be
available in Csound 5.08 beta Windows installers -- real soon now!

Thanks to all who replied. Looks the command line is the best option
until 5.08 is ready, but I will look at the system path. Work
intervenes, so it will be a few days.

You can also check out csound-X for emacs. I guess this pretty much lets
you edit and run Csound from within emacs although I haven't ever used it.

Not if one already know emacs? After speaking with John ffitch about it
at the LAC and listening to Victor rave on about it for years I think I
may finally try it out. Watch this space!

csound-x is nice :) - thanks stef

hi rory,

one word of advice that emacs gurus may disagree with but here it goes....
instead of struggling with unfamiliar cut copy paste keybindings... use
the option to change them to C-x C-c C-v - this makes getting started
with emacs a lot quicker
and don't forget to type this into the emacs prompt once in a while
M-x tetris
:)

Thanks Rob, I'm only getting your mail now, my internet was down for
