OK, it works fine now. Probably the problem was that I was using an old MacCsound file where the -b option was too low and caused the distortion. These options are only visible with a text editor like Smultron but not with qutecsound - which I am using currently. I can't test it now with the Motu but will try tomorrow.
Anyway now it's working fine!
