Subject[Csnd] Packaging Csound with Java
I'm currently working on the first working phase of a Java Csound
application using the Java Csound wrappers (csnd.jar). I want to be
able to run this program on other machines, however, I do not know how
to include Csound with my JAR. Is it possible to do this or does every
computer that wants to run my application need to have Csound installed?

Generally each computer you want to run the host app on needs to have
Csound installed. You can get around this by building an installer for
your app that installs the relevant Csound files into your host
directory.

For something like this, putting Csound in a jar may or may not be feasible.

Usually, people with problems like this use Java Web Start, even locally.

Hope this helps,
Mike
