Hello

I today installed Csound5.10.1-gnu-win32-d.exe on my usual Csound windows XP
(service pack 1) machine.

when I  C to exit the program, 

'''
Csound tidy up: Interrupt
Csound tidy up: Segmentation Violation
'''

i get the following error

'''
pm_winmm_term called
begin closing open devices.....
'''

& my system gets locked in a loop. i need to    & "end
process" csound.exe to get out of it

end of sco however exits ok

'''
pm_winmm_term called
pm_winmm_term exiting
pm_winmm_term called
pm_winmm_term exiting
'''

does anyone have any idea what the problem might be?

any assistance appreciated.

This is the same problem discussed recently here on the list. The
problem is known, in addition to the problems with closing realtime
audio it is also related to closing of realtime midi devices when
exiting with Ctrl-C

I have never experienced it  lately (but I remember something about 4 years
ago, before the release of csound 5, where USB midi devices
seem to have this issue)
