Hello!

I wonder whether diskin2 is working correctly. In the attached, simple score, the second instruction should add 5" of delay (according to the manual for iskiptime) to the same file (santuri.aiff, but any file would also work), but it doesn't.
Does anybody know why?

Thank you very much.

Marco

Thanks very much Victor!

Hi Marco -

I think it's because you've set the iwrap parameter to 1. When you set
a1 diskin2 p4, 1.0, p5, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0
(or just a1 diskin2	p4, 1.0, p5)
instead of
a1	diskin2	p4, 1.0, p5, 1, 0, 0, 0, 0
it works, doesn't it?

Beste Grüße -

	joachim

Hello, Joachim,

It is indeed the way you wrote. Thank you for the advice. Perhaps the csound manual should mention this, since one might also imagine that a negative iskiptime would add some delay to diskin even if then the file is looped (wrapped).
Schöne Grüße!

Marco
