yes, I know it is easier to use portaudio but the results are not good. Actually it seams impossible to use csound with live input. Is this a Mac issue? Is there anyone using csound with live input on a Mac? I have been using live output without any problems with the default portaudio device. But I can't figure why live input should be a problem. I tryed the built-in device and the motu 828 and both give a terrible sound.

For simultaneous (realtime audio) input and output it is (even more)
important that ksmps and -b are set in integer ratios.
If you can use your orchestra fine with only -odac, and then get
dropouts once you enable - iadc, I would strongly suspect it is a
ksmps/b/B issue.
