I just got a netbook (Acer Aspire One). It came with Windows XP, and I
have also installed Eeebuntu 2.0 Standard for dual boot. I have Csound
and Python running on Windows, and now am going to try to get them
running on Eeebuntu. Already, I can use my M Audio Ozone MIDI
keyoard/USB audio interface from both operating systems. The native
audio isn't bad, either.

The little thing is hard to type on and not as fast as my main
machine, but it is  faster than many computers that I have used to
make music on, and I am literally carrying it around with me wherever
I go, since it is no larger than a book.

One of my motives here is to get more involved with supporting Csound
and CsoundAC on Linux, and also to investigate some of the more
experimental audio and signal processing software that sometimes comes
out only, or first, on Linux.
