AlgoScore is a graphical environment for algorithmic composition, where music is constructed directly in an interactive graphical score.

AlgoScore is released under the terms of GNU GPL. It currently builds and runs on Linux and Mac OS X.

Subject[Csnd] OT: Sweetwater Electroacoustic Music Concert Series
Hello Csounders,

The first in a series of monthly electroacoustic music concerts will
take place on Friday, May 9th at 7:00 PM in the phenomenal new Theater
at Sweetwater. The Theater is equipped with a very nice sounding JBL 7-1
surround system, which is complimented by a Lares system. If you are not
familiar with the Lares system, basically it senses the sound in the
room and then diffuses it over ~ 50 strategically placed speakers. This
system makes the room sound like it is any one of a variety of larger
halls. The venue was designed by Russ Berger and the acoustics are
absolutely incredible as well. It is truly a musical instrument in its
own right. So this is an amazing place for an "Intense Listening
Experience".

Since this is our first E/A concert, we are beginning in the simplest
way possible by programming the premier of my new CD, "Rarefactions", a
tape only piece. However, in subsequent concerts the plan is to feature
specific composers who will ideally be present and speak about their
work. We will be programming visual music videos and interactive
computer/instrumental works as well.

If you are in the area please consider yourself invited to the
Sweetwater facility located at 5501 US Highway 30 West in Fort Wayne,
Indiana. The concert is open to the public and is free.

Apologies for cross postings.

Best to all,

Michael Rhoades

Anybody tried this and succeeded. The examples give some errors (looks
like orc errors) and no sound is output. I compiled myself using
libcsound64, the code that was with the tarball needed libcsound, so
there may well be something wrong with my compilation. (using ubuntu hardy)

thnx

Hi Mattis,

AlgoScore won't work with a double-precision build of Csound. It works
fine with a normal floats build. Cool program. :)

Best,
